Rep. Jones response to Libby commutation: "Pardon border agents"
In light of President George W. Bush's recent commutation of I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby's prison sentence, Third District Representative Walter B. Jones (R-NC) wrote a letter today to again call on the President to pardon U.S. Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean.
In the wake of President Bush’s clemency of former vice presidential chief of staff Lewis “Scooter” Libby, Rep. Tom Tancredo urged the president to “take it a step further” and fully pardon two former Border Patrol agents whose case has galvanized conservatives.___________________________________
